50th Year Reunion


Hello Everyone,

The 50th Reunion Committee met in May to begin planning for our reunion. The following classmates are on the committee: Susan (Callahan) Marathas, Herb Peterson, Gloria Gilson, Phil Lund, Sugar (Goldberg) Keith, Maryann (Zaniboni) Twomey, Nancy (DeWitt) Walent and me. If anyone else would like to join us, please let me know.

Some of the tentative initial decisions that were made at the meeting are:
  • The reunion will be held sometime in October of 2011.
  • We will book a hotel that is nearby Canton as the home base for the event and will have rooms available as needed.
  • We will begin with an informal reception on Friday Evening.
  • On Saturday we will have a tour of the school and town for those who would like to participate.
  • In the evening on Saturday we will conduct a more formal reunion activity at the hotel.
  • On Sunday, we will have a breakfast/brunch get together at the hotel.

We will seek sponsorship on the activities to keep the price reasonable.

If anyone has any additional ideas, please contact me or one of the other members of the committee.

So far, we have contact information on 120 members of our class of 143. I have created an e-mail listing to communicate with the people who have e-mail. If you have an objection to including your e-mail on this listing, please let me know. Several people have asked me if I could share the contact spreadsheet which has names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail contact information on it. Please let me know if you object to sharing this information with your classmates. As we have just seen, this listing is a good way of sharing information.

In the near future, I will be forwarding a spreadsheet with the information that I have on the classmates for whom we have not been able to confirm contact information. We would appreciate any assistance that you can provide in helping to locate these classmates.

I appreciate all of the efforts of the many people who have helped out so far. I think we are off to a good start and look forward to seeing everyone again.
