Who are we?
A group of dedicated CHS Alumni and friends have been meeting for over five years
and have established the CHSAA. The Association currently meets
on the second Wednesday of each month at 1 pm,
at the Rodman Center, on the top floor nearest the gym.
What are our goals?
- To build a strong support group that includes all alumni
- To conduct an annual event to raise funds for CHS
- To establish a library of school memorabilia and history
- To establish an endowment to benefit CHS
What have we accomplished so far?
- A Mission, Vision and Purpose Statement
- By-laws, including Articles of Organization
- Appointment of Board of Directors
- Election of Officers
- Obtained a room in the Marilyn Rodman Educational and
Administrative Center for the CHS Alumni Association
- Participated in Canton’s Annual Homecoming 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008
- November 2005 - held a dinner at Nick’s Restaurant in Canton
- January 2006 - had an open informational meeting
- January 2006 - established a website
- April 2006 – held an Alumni Social at the Town Club
- April 2006 - participated in the Canton Association of Industries EXPO 2006 held at
the Blue Hills Regional High School
- January 2007 – participated in the C.A.P.E. Spelling Bee
- April 2007 – held a Silent Auction / Alumni Social at St John's Parish Center
- December 2007 – the first Canton High Alumni Directory was published
- March 2008 – sponsored an Antique Appraisal Event and Alumni Social at the Canton Town Club
- March 2008 – the Canton Alumni Online Community implemented, visit Graduate Connections
- Fall 2008 & 2009 – held a fund raiser event "Dine with Family & Friends" at Nocera's Restaurant in Stoughton
- Spring 2009 & 2010 – held a fund raiser/social "Trivia Time with Gary Titus" at the Canton Town Club
- January 2010 – had a fun social evening and enjoyed an Italian Dinner at the American Legion Hall
What do our ongoing and future goals include?
- To develop a complete list of class agents (representatives) to enhance communication
with alumni. If you are interested in becoming your class agent, please contact the
Alumni Association
- Build and maintain a database of all alumni.
- The Association is continually working to increase our support group.
- To assist CHS graduates to connect with one another
- To assist CHS Alumni with reunions
- To publish a periodic newsletter
- To have an annual fundraiser
- To have an annual alumni social
